Project Overview
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy Poster Series is a personal passion project where I created a set of three posters, each representing one film in the trilogy. These posters are designed to connect visually when placed side by side, depicting the journey and characters of the series through silhouettes and a continuous pathway.
Tools & Techniques
I primarily used Adobe Illustrator for creating the vector elements of the posters. To add texture, shadows, and shading, I incorporated Adobe Photoshop. This combination allowed me to achieve a minimal yet textured look that enhanced the visual appeal of the posters.

Design Concept
Each poster is minimalistic and vector-based, featuring silhouettes of the main characters and iconic locations from the films. The primary colours for each poster are distinct, enhancing the individuality of each installment while maintaining a cohesive visual narrative across the series.

• The Fellowship of the Ring: This poster uses an orange/brown colour palette and illustrates the Fellowship walking through the Mines of Moria. The characters are depicted as small silhouettes at the bottom, led by Gandalf, with the towering pillars of the mines above them.
The Two Towers: Dominated by a green sky, this poster showcases Frodo, Sam, and Gollum in the foreground with a rocky grey mountain background. The towers of Isengard and Barad-dûr are visible in the distance, with Barad-dûr appearing hazy and faded.
The Return of the King: Featuring a dark red theme, this poster depicts Frodo and Sam climbing Mount Doom. The silhouette of Mount Doom looms large in the background with smoke rising, and the Eye of Sauron shines a beam of light toward Frodo, emphasizing the journey's climax.

Conclusion
This project allowed me to explore minimalistic design while paying homage to one of my favourite film trilogies. The connected design of the posters not only tells the story of the characters' journey but also serves as a testament to the power of cohesive visual storytelling.
Sharing these posters with the community has been a rewarding experience, and I look forward to creating more passion projects that merge my love for design and cinema.
